ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Caitlin is a trained documentary photographer based in Cape Town, South Africa.
Upon completing her degree at Stellenbosch University she went on to study photography, after which she spent some time traveling and working. For as long as Caitlin has been photographing, she has always held a fascination for the human story and how we relate to the world and those around us. Her first subjects were her family, friends and those she met along her travels, which has since grown into her professional photographic career. Her biggest inspiration and muses still remain those closest to her.
Caitlin lives in a small seaside town with her young family and spends her spare time photographing personal work, hiking, gardening or listening to new music she’s discovered with a coffee in hand.
ARTIST STATEMENT
My work is an exploration of connection, and the stories that live between people. I am drawn to moments of honesty—glances, gestures, and interactions that reveal something essential about who we are. Through a personal and intimate approach to your wedding day or family session, I seek to create enduring photographs that hold memory, celebrate relationships, and honour the depth of the human experience.
VALUES THAT GUIDE THE PEOPLE THAT I WORK WITH
The couples that I work with are intentional, they see the value of the community around them and the depth and emotion of what a wedding day holds. They trust the teams that they have chosen and put in place for their wedding day.
They value the art of genuine storytelling and capturing the true essence of their wedding day without pretence and with presence.
